Lab intern Sophia Almeida Ribeiro has just received an research initiation (STBIRC) scholarship from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec, encouraging her interest in Health sector research. What a great start to your journey, and congrats again from everyone in the lab!! 🎉🎉

The CERMO-FC's Félix-Antoine Aublet Research Scholarship aims to support research related to orphan diseases, and more specifically mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) which are a group of rare lysosomal storage disorders. For this edition, the scholarship was awarded to two students from two different labs: our own M.Sc. student Jeffrey Killeen and Ph.D. student Nathan Ghafari from Dr. Lekha Sleno's laboratory. Together, they will continue working on C. elegans models of MPS disease

Last week, the Bénard lab participated to the international PROTEO symposium, that took place at ULAVAL from May 20th to the 22nd. Thank you to everyone that helped in setting up this fantastic event, and to all the incredible people that gave inspiring talks throughout the conference. Of course, well done to Ivan, Marin and Jeffrey for their posters! See you next year!
